Good Sam Resident Helping with Laundry

THIS IS THE STORY IN HER OWN WORDS

HI, MY NAME IS DANIELLE COCKRELL. I CAME TO GOOD SAM FOUR MONTHS
AGO FROM DALLAS,TEXAS. I WAS LOOKING FOR A FRESH START. A FRIEND OF MINE SUGGESTED THAT I COME TO CORPUS SO I DID AND LONG STORY SHORT I ENDED UP WITH NOWHERE TO STAY SO I CAME HERE. SINCE I HAVE BEEN HERE THEY HAVE SHOWN ME THE MEANING OF HOPE WHEN THE REST OF THE WORLD SEEMED TO BE AGAINST ME. I AM SO THANKFUL TO GOD FOR BRINGING ME HERE AND I HOPE ONE DAY I WILL BE ABLE TO RETURN THE BLESSINGS THAT HAVE HAVE BEEN GIVEN ME DURING MY STAY HERE......DANIELLE

The Other Side of Paradise

Homeless in Hawaii ???

The Plight of Oahu's Leeward Coast Homeless

Just a few miles and several minutes north of the beautiful Ko Olina Resort on Oahu's Leeward Coast you will find the other side of paradise. There, on sixteen miles of beaches and beach parks stretching beneath the Waianae Mountains, you'll find the tents, wooden containers, vans and simple overhangs that are the residences of many of Oahu's homeless population which, by some estimates, numbers over 4,000.
